Band Looking for Bassist and Drummer (Indie /Punk/Post-Rock) (Den Haag and/or Rotterdam)

Indie / punk / post-rock band (based in Den Haag / Rotterdam) is looking for bassist and drummer


Backtick` Tilde~ has been in development for about a year, and currently has 8 - original - songs, and several more songs completed (which have yet to be tried in rehearsals).

Influences include the Pixies, Sonic Youth, Built to Spill, Owls, A Place to Bury Strangers, The Jesus Lizard, The Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails...

Recently the drummer and bassist decided to leave the band as they unfortunately had very limited time they could put in to the project. As such, we are currently looking for both a drummer and a bassist.

Current members are myself (electric guitar and vocals), and my longtime bandmate, friend and ex-housemate Gonçalo (electric guitar). We are both in our early 30s, and are primarily looking for people in their mid-20s to late-30s. We are both very experienced musicians, who met at the Hague Royal Conservatory, and have a wide-ranging experience in several genres.

I live in Den Haag, and Gonçalo lives in Rotterdam, so we are happy to be rehearsing in either city (or even somewhere in between the two cities).

We are hoping for a committed and experienced drummer and bassist, who are comfortable with up tempo / punky grooves, also the occasional odd time signature (we currently have a song featuring sections in 5/4 for example), but also slower / more laid-back tempos and gentler textures.

We are aiming for 2 rehearsals a week, and occasional meetings in between as needed for possible planning / admin / etc.
